Officially Enrolled at NEU

The clock is ticking, and another semester is [1.1]fast approaching. Every year, students go through the process of submitting all the necessary requirements and taking all the prerequisites—the process we all call enrollment.[2.1] In every academic institution, enrollment is vital—the first step of becoming—or continuing to be—a student[3.1][4.1]. At New Era University, enrollment is something that will lead one down a fruitful path to quality education[5.1].
“Officially enrolled!”—Eraians might say this to themselves after going through the eye of a needle just to enroll. For instance, long queues of students form daily along the hallway near the cashier[6.1]. Despite the scorching heat, boredom, thirst, and hunger, students patiently wait in line to be finally called. Perhaps, what keeps them patient is the chance to engage with friends or classmates, and even discover new people along the queue[7.1].
Many students carry envelopes filled with documents and their wallets[8.1] in hand. There are people who constantly walk back and forth, and time seems to slowly slip in moments like these. Meanwhile, new and familiar faces occupy the seats, where a series of inquiries and loud conversations can be heard[9.1]. Different faces of individuals can be noticed which might express delight, discouragement, or disappointment. These never-ending scenarios are a common sight every enrollment period.
On top of this, there are a bunch of untold stories of students during enrollment…
Sending one's child to college is financially demanding[10.1]. Parents provide everything to their children to sustain their needs. Some of the students who enroll might struggle to fully pay the outstanding balance[11.1]. Others are working students who strive to pursue college. Moreover, certain students may find it a hassle to go to the campus to enroll yet there are eager individuals who go the extra mile to enroll. A few may have lost interest in studying but still enroll themselves, and there are students who go to great lengths just to become officially enrolled[12.1].
This is not merely a story about enrollment.[13.1] At its core, enrollment is a gate that opens opportunities for the students as stakeholders of the university to strive for excellence, unlock their full potential[14.1], and achieve greatness. Nothing worth having comes easy. Enrollment is a preliminary challenge that tests one's patience and resilience—the first step towards learning. Truly, while enrollment requires finances, this is just the beginning of one-of-a-kind journey[15.1].
To be officially enrolled at New Era University (NEU) is more than spending hours of waiting in line to be accommodated. It is more than paying thousands and receiving the certificate of enrollment. It equips a student to an inclusive learning environment where discipline and excellence set the standard, and fulfill its commitment to providing meaningful education[16.1]. The growing NEU community, with thousands of enrollees each year, testifies to its role as a home of transformational knowledge with a purpose of nurturing one's growth for the near future.
