The New Era University (NEU) Fair 2026 wrapped up a week of student-led performances, competitions, and university-wide participation, with NEU Got Talent standing out as one of its most talked-about segments.
The fair opened with a parade and kickoff at the NEU Quadrangle, followed by intermission numbers that quickly set the tone for the week-long celebration. Throughout the event, the campus was filled with music, cheering crowds, and booths that consistently drew students into the program.
Live band performances during Music Playlist 2026 brought in large audiences. Students’ support for the performers was evident through loud cheers and banners, especially for bands representing their respective colleges. Substance Over Form from the College of Accountancy was named champion, followed by Memento (CBA) and The CrimiNEUlogy Band (CCR).
The newly introduced NEU Got Talent segment also drew significant attention, featuring performances in singing, dancing, and other creative acts. The audience remained engaged throughout, with strong support from different departments. KICKS from CICS was named champion, followed by Ciara Joy Nacional (CED) as first runner-up and Kristine Kaye Miranda (COC) as second runner-up.
Other competitions also saw strong participation across colleges. The Debate Competition was won by the College of Arts and Sciences, with the College of Business Administration and the College of Accountancy as first and second runner-ups, respectively. In the Take One Short Film Exhibit, “See You Tomorrow, Arlo” from the College of Accountancy was awarded Best Short Film.
The fair concluded with the much-awaited coronation of Mr. and Ms. NEU 2026 on April 17 at the NEU Quadrangle. Candidates opened with a production number before proceeding to the formal wear and question-and-answer segments. Carl Anthony Pintor of the College of Nursing and Danina Jeriel de Leon of the School of International Relations were crowned Mr. and Ms. NEU 2026.
Throughout the week, participation came from both performers and audiences, with students, organizers, and judges contributing to the smooth flow of each event. At the end of the fair, the College of Accountancy was declared Overall Champion of NEU Fair 2026.
